Leyya works in a movement style that integrates momentum, precision and personality. She teaches technique with acute attention to skeletal alignment and energetic intention in order to foster clear and expansive dancing. Class begins with an exploration of efficiency principles for the body. In learning pathways of line and momentum we will discuss initiation, complexity and style. Floor work and off-balance momentum studies will layer throughout, increasing in athleticism as class proceeds, culminating in movement studies based on Dance Elixir repertory.
